In 1912, a Pastor by the name of Fred Bosworth invited a woman by the name of Maria Woodworth-Etter to visit the Dallas region and to be one of the speakers at a tent revival.
It became controversial and drew much attention because a woman was asked to minister at this event.
But, God used her in a powerful way because during this tent revival, many were healed, delivered, and set free from sickness and mental strongholds.
Many gave their lives to Jesus because they had a face to face encounter with their Healer and Deliverer.
The well of revival had sprung and it had such a huge impact in the Dallas region that its magnitude hasn’t been experienced since then.
In 1972, Billy Graham’s ministry visited the Dallas region to hold what was called, “Explo ’72” where more than 80,000 college and high school students gathered at the Cotton Bowl Stadium, hungry for a move of God.
This event was so transformative that it caused many to share the gospel and devote their lives to Christian service. Many were touched by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Music also had a great impact that the press called it the Christian Woodstock of their day.
But we know a heavenly sound of revival was released.
God is uncapping the wells of revival, and we are already seeing the birthing signs of awakening and revival in North Texas. A holy shaking is taking place that hasn’t been seen or felt for decades. God is moving into the neighborhoods. Every bedroom community, town site, and rural area in the DFW Metroplex is beginning to feel the effects of His holy fire. It’s harvest time! God is activating His body to prepare for an abundant harvest of souls touched by the power and presence of God. The Holy Spirit is hovering over the waters, stirring them once again, and we must follow His leading. Revival is imminent, and history will record that July 18th – 22nd was the spark that set revival fire in four directions from Frisco. Come be a part of this momentous event. It truly is a new era of awakening and revival across the whole earth.
